As one of the pioneers in seafood canning business, Oceans Secret journey has not been a simple one. In the late 1980s, an increased demand of canned seafood in Northeast India caught the interest of local entrepreneurs in the Karnataka coastal belt. At that time, the only players in seafood canning business were companies based in Thailand and Myanmar. Seeing the potential domestic market, a few Indian businessmen decided to venture this space and start their own companies. One of these was Mohammed Ismail, founder and Managing director of Oceans Secret.
